10. Communication

Check emails and texts regularly for updates and changes that may have to occur.

11. Practice

Please practice between lessons (30 to 120 minutes each day) to make the most of your lesson and maintain progress.

12.Sound Pressure and Deafness

Please keep your playing volume below 85 dBFS to prevent hearing damage to you and to Mark.

13. Loud and Soft

Dynamic Control is essential to musicianship. You may need to practice playing at and below the 85dbSPL-A peak level before attending lesson...use a phone SPL (sound pressure level) app such as KTW SPL meter to test your volume when you practice.

14.  Make the most of your lesson

Be a good learner, open minded, inquisitive, and industrious.

14b. Zoom

Practice Zoom setup, including direct sound  for musicians prior to lesson...

Zoom with a friend...can they see and hear you playing your drums.

Please dont attempt to setup zoom during your lesson!

15.  Cough Etiquette
Cover your cough or sneeze: Use a tissue to cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
16. Tidyness

Dispose of tissues properly: Dispose of used tissues in a waste bin immediately.

 17.Hygeine

If no tissue is available: Cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow, not your hands.

18. Hand Sanitisation

Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available, after coughing, sneezing, or touching your face.

19. Timing and Listening

Use a metronome for every practice session. Keep an ear out for 'timing' external to what you are playing in your head!
